think about it

Yesterday was my POPO's 89th Birthday, the party was held at the main house. I was a good girl. Why? Many know i love to eat but last night i helped out in making one of the finest food to end the night. haho. I did the yu-sheng//"lou hei" dish with my cousin. We shredded cabbage, carrots, sliced fish and abalone pieces. The dish was so colorful and looking at it make us h-a-p-p-y. Now i know how to make the dish so next year and nextttt yearssssss i can do "lou hei" for my family. heh. Also, we had the traditional red eggs - last night the red eggs all came with 2 egg yolks i didnt know till this morning while having one as my aunt got it speacially for the birthday party. sweet. , keuhkeuh (tasted nutty and sweet, there are leftovers now in my fridge)which i was forced to eat as i thought it wasnt hand-made. hah. , cheng teng, mee-suah mee mushroom-chicken drumplet soup which i had no chance to bite on heh., black pork mushroom seacucumber dish and we called in buffet catering which was way better than last year.

the bottom line of this long foodie post is : would my cousins' generation ever make such good tasty old traditional Hainanese!? food down the road.

*going to meet macnutlover//trippleS//cherly later for mudpies&cake hopping. So i shall go eat the kuehkueh first....backinggg here laters.
